Bringing history to life …

Bedwellty House and Park is steeped in Welsh history.  Our self-led education tour is the perfect way for you to bring Tredegar’s rich story to life for learners of all ages, and it’s free to use!

Take a tour of the house and gardens by following the map which identifies key areas of interest and simply scan the QR code to access the short, engaging videos of our history.

You will find out more about the people who made Bedwellty famous, from the 1800s to the current day, including Samuel Homfray, Norah Childs and Aneurin Bevan.  Explore the house and gardens including the Ice House and the largest block of coal ever to be cut, in the world.
