Louby Lou Storytelling: The Bee Hive
Stand up for your stripes and join our buzzing friends, as they embark on their World Pollination Tour!
Two little bees are on a quest to save their species and they need your help! Watch them spread their message through catchy songs, silly sketches and lots of audience participation in this vibrant performance that is perfect for all the family.
This performance lasts approximately 40 minutes and will take place on the grounds of Bedwellty House.
The recommended age is 3 to 8 years, but older or younger children are welcome to attend.

Crazy Chemistry
Join ExperiMENTAL Science for another fun-filled workshop!
Following an interactive mini science show filled with colour changes and eruptions, the children will make Chromatography Butterflies, Skittles Rainbows, Test Tube Rainbows and Marshmallow Bath Bombs to take home.

With a precious magical shell that can only be found near mermaid waters, this crew will need to look far and wide in order to find it. Think you’ve got what it takes to be a treasure seeking pirate? Then join us on this exciting adventure this summer!

Beep! Beep! All aboard the jungle jeep as our storytelling crew navigate deep into the trees.
With crocodiles roaming, parrots swooping and rumours of monkeys playing banana shaped tricks, our jungle team must be very careful. Be warned, some of this crew are a little forgetful and rather bad at directions. Can you help guide them back to safety in this exciting, storytelling adventure?

Fantastic Physics
ExperiMENTAL Science are back with more fun-filled science shenanigans for the summer holidays!
The children will explore electricity with our hair raising Van de Graaff generator, create human circuits and blow up giant balloons in one puff.
Following this the children will make paper rockets, mind bending thaumatropes and levitating ping pong balls to take home.

Roger will cover the developments in medicine from the late 1700s and Humphrey Davey with nitrous oxide, through to the late 1800s and the development of x-rays – with a little bit of body snatching on the way.

Prior to the start of the event at Bedwellty Park, there will be a march from Charles Street through town to Bedwellty Park to kick off this year's celebration.
As part of this year's Bevan Festival, Tredegar Town Band will be performing in the Bandstand from 3pm to 5pm.
There will be stalls, displays and activities throughout the day which will run from 12noon to 5pm.

Many local groups, military personnel and organisations, will be supporting the event, providing stalls and displays throughout the afternoon, raising the profile of the Forces and fundraising for both local and national charities such as Change Step, SAMA Wales 82, RAF Association ‘Wings Appeal’ and the Royal British Legion (Tredegar Branch), to name but a few.

The Science of Sweets
Join us for a Willy Wonka inspired adventure as we explore the science behind your favourite sweet treats.
In this delicious workshop we will use scientific equipment and techniques to create our own sweets including super sour sherbet and glow in the dark jelly worms!
Every experiment is edible!
All experiments are vegan, no dairy, no nuts and avoids all common allergens.

Join us for a fun family-friendly craft session where you can paint your own mug!
Sessions will take place at 11am and 2pm.
